Yes, we are talking about one of the most legendary restaurant – United Coffee House(UCH) in Connaught Place. We have many iconic restaurants in CP some of which endure because they have awesome food, others because they have a unique venue or convenient location, but here we have all three. Running since 1942 this opulent restaurant is well attracted by all the generations, be it kids, youngsters or old people. UCH is the kind of restaurant patronised by the insatiable and well-heeled.
Entering the restaurant with all the smiles and anticipation to try their scrumptious dishes, you will come across British era’s exceptional high ceiling and distinguished interiors. The vintage style decor with luxurious chandelier are very eye catchy and have not changed since opening. This grandiose dining hall situated in the heart of the city gained an early reputation as one of the very best restaurants in Delhi for its colonial style plush interiors.

The menu and class of the restaurant is rarely one of the most innovative restaurant that can satisfy your palates in ways others often fail to. Out of their vast menu we try to sample their North Indian Platter as starters and Badshahi Kofta with garlic naan. The North Indian Platter was mainly filled with stuffed potatoes, paneer tikka and lots of mushrooms complemented with salad and bell papers to add to the taste. Everything in the platter was insatiable, though served not too hot but up to the mark with correct blend of spices. This time try your platter with their tomato chutney for a different experience.
The Badshahi Kofta was absolutely lip smacking where the kofta is made of cottage cheese, grated nuts and some veggies dipped in a rich gravy. Here you may have a feeling of “pet bhar gaya per dil nahi bhara”. You will have to come again to fulfill your craving for this delicacy.
We tried their Virgin Mojito and Strawberry Colada and both satisfied us completely specially the Strawberry Colada.
Their menu is so vast ranging from breakfast to dinner, street food to deserts, Indian to Continental and so on, that it makes you confuse as all the delicacies are just perfect. You can always start with their signature dishes and sizzlers upon asking the stewards for their best known items
