Sana di ge – A place where you order plates after plates

The captivating restaurant known for its vegetarian and non vegetarian coastal food already mentioned in the previous blogpost (https://withpunita.com/the-fabulous-regional-gastronomy-of-coastal-seafood-sana-di-ge/), with the most famous menu featuring signature dishes from Mangalore, Kerala, Goa, Chetinad, Maharashtra and from entire coastal area has come up with the newbies with slew of drinks, soup, starters, mains and desserts which are Mango based.

Chef Sukesh Kanchan used the tropical fruit to create best mango recipes, from simple mocktails, to spicy curries and stunning summer desserts. The new compact menu is best suited for kids too that includes some of the restaurant’s Insta-famous staples like the Aamras, Aam Masholi fry, alleppey meen manga curry, Mango kulfi, etc; comfort food turned into special occasion food.

Few of the go-to orders are Chicken Tenders, Gulla Tawa fry, Prawn butter pepper garlic, Rajma Galouti, Aam Masholi fry, Mamsa sukka, Pani puri, Kori ghee roast, Palak patte ki chaat .. Everything at this Seafood restaurant on Malcha Marg is worth checking out, but the Mango menu is particularly outstanding. The standout dish out of these is the Aam Masholi fry which is cooked to tender perfection, it is fresh king fish marinated with raw mango paste, ginger, garlic paste Maharashtrian masala wrapped in banana leaves and cooked on tawa in slow flame. Honestly this dish is to laud for.

Browse through the vast seafood menu for dinner or lunch. In fact, with so much choice, you could have a seafood lunch, snack and celebration feast too and still enjoy innovative dishes in a different way each time. Mains are ofcourse not to be missed here: natti mutton, paneer makhani, methi malai matter, alleppey meen manga curry, Mavinakai chitranna and coastal breads.

Please save the stomach space for desserts which are not to be missed at any cost. Elaneer Payasam is one dessert for which I specially go there many times but this time I died for Qubani ka Meeta made be dried Apricots base too which was a treat to eyes and taste buds both.
